La mononucleosis, o mono, es una enfermedad producida por un virus que se propaga a través de la saliva. También se la conoce como la “enfermedad del beso”. Puede contraerla por besar a una persona infectada. También puede contagiarse por compartir un cepillo de dientes o por beber del vaso de alguien infectado. Si bien la mononucleosis se transmite de persona a persona, no se contrae tan fácilmente como el resfriado común. Para la mayoría de la gente, la mononucleosis no es una enfermedad peligrosa.
