Let’s pretend you’re managing a healthcare condition like diabetes, or heart disease,cancer, or kidney disease. You’ll be treated with medicine.But did you know making healthy food choices is key to treating many conditions.A dietitian is an expert at helping you make healthier food choices. They can help you understand how whatyou eat affects your health, and with your help, they can develop a meal plan that is doable and enjoyable.But what food and how much? Can I still eat avocados? (I would never eat you. You’re my favorite.)Team up with a dietitian to learn how better food choices can improve your health whether in the hospital, anoutpatient clinic, or as part of your primary care team.Remember, you have a team. You’re not alone.
